Conciliation is a voluntary, private, and confidential alternative dispute resolution process in which the conflicting parties are assisted by an impartial neutral conciliator, who collaborates in their attempt to resolve the dispute, facilitating the communication between them.
The conciliation agreement has the legal value of a judicial ruling and concludes the dispute. Additionally, it can be enforced in the Courts of Justice in case of non-compliance.
The conciliator does not act as a judge, advisor, or expert; rather, the conciliator directs the process, facilitates communication, identifies the interests of the parties, and ensures that the agreements are feasible and durable.
