To promote the development of social peace through the different mechanisms of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) and to consolidate itself as a center specialized in the attention of cases related to the areas of engineering and architecture at national and international level.

Mission

To offer a space for dialogue and negotiation, through the various mechanisms of alternative dispute resolution (ADR), to settle disputes of a patrimonial nature arising from the practice of engineering and architecture disciplines.

Fundamental Objective

Contribute to the resolution of disputes of a patrimonial nature and available on matters pertaining to the professional practice of CFIA members, through the institutionalization of the various RAC mechanisms.

Alternative Dispute Resolution Methods (ADR) are a set of negotiation techniques, alternatives to the ordinary judicial system, which allow individuals to resolve by themselves the conflicts that arise, in a more agile, efficient, fast and economical way. Its basis is found in Law 7727, on Alternative Dispute Resolution and Promotion of Social Peace, and in the Regulations of the Conflict Resolution Center of the Costa Rican Association of Engineers and Architects.
